What is translation?
Translation is written, and professional translators only translate into their mother tongue. I am a native speaker of English so I translate texts that are written in French or Spanish into English.
I focus on selecting words and phrases to convey the correct meaning while producing a text that reads as if it was originally written in English. I particularly enjoy translating texts that require creative flair to produce this result.
What is interpreting?
Interpreting is spoken, enabling two people who speak different languages to communicate with each other. When interpreting, I am neutral and accurate, ensuring no-one is misunderstood.
I find it fulfilling to be enabling both clients and professionals to communicate with each other. I only take on assignments that I know I can fulfil to a high standard by the required deadline and am punctual when attending assignments.
