I can send you a summary of the content of your document or meet you face-to-face to explain it to you. I can then help you to respond, if required, by letter, phone call or email, and continue to help with subsequent correspondence.

 I have translated some non-fiction books as well as journalistic and academic articles that require excellent writing skills to produce a translation in the appropriate style and tone for publication. I find this area of translation very fulfilling, and as an avid reader of fiction I am keen to branch out into literary translation to bring French and Spanish fiction to English speaking audiences. I am in the process of pitching a sample translation of a French novel to UK publishers.

I have experience interpreting in family matters, for asylum claims and for criminal cases, both face-to-face and online. I can also translate legal documents, correspondence and evidence into English.

I have worked as an interpreter in the health and social care sector throughout my career for health professionals and their patients in areas including mental health, general practice, hospital outpatients and midwifery. I have also interpreted for social services in areas including adoption and child protection.
